Birthday Cake Banner

This is the cake banner I made for my son B! He just turned one this past Saturday!

And no, I did not make the cake...I placed the banner and the dinosaurs on it, though! =)

I used the Washi Wonder Hostess Stamp Set from CTMH, different color ink pads, monogram stickers from DCWV and baker's twine.

I'm also entering this banner in the "Brown Paper Packages Tied Up with Strings" Challenge at H2H CTMH Challenge Blog. I just love that song, don't you?

OK, you might have noticed...there aren't any brown paper packages...

I guess my song should go like this..."White Paper Banners Tied Up with Strings..." =)

I have been busy lately...trying to figure out what to do for my son B's birthday party...so, not a lot of new stuff to share. =(

But I'll start posting some videos from CTMH that I like...and the first up is about the new Stamp Set Trio created especially for National Stamping Month!

Ombre Cake Card

When I saw this challenge at Moxie Fab World (Tuesday Trigger: Honoring Ombre), I knew exactly which stamp I wanted to use!!! The problem was making the card...but I did it!

I used the generational stamping technique to achieve the ombre look on the cake layers (I cut the "layers" out and adhered them with foam tape on my cake base). I stamped a woodgrain doily for the cake and added a bow pick. Then, I added some glitter gel to the frosting.

I also curled the ends of the banners for some more dimension and added some sequins.

Dinosaur Thank You Card

I was able to make two cards today for a CAS-ual Fridays Challenge:

First up is this cute dinosaur!

I stamped and heat embossed the dinosaur in red. Then, cut it out and adhered it with foam tape.

The sentiment was stamped three times (generational stamping) and some grass was added, too.

Supplies:
